Angela McCord, Ed.S., NBCT

Dr. Angela McCord began channeling her passion for child advocacy by

entering the field of education in 2002. She has served Georgia and South

Carolina middle schools to increase student achievement and improve

technology integration. She served as a middle school math and science teacher,

certified by the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards in Early

Adolescent Mathematics, in 2008. Since then, she's served as an Instructional Coach,

Technology Integration Specialist, Middle School Administrator, Mathematics Coach,

School Improvement Specialist, and Post-Secondary Adjunct Instructor.

 

Angela earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Middle Grades Education (Mathematics and English Language Arts) from Augusta University, a Master of Education degree in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina, and an Educational Specialist and Doctoral degree in Educational Administration from South Carolina State University.

 

Angela has provided professional development and training at the school, district, and state levels on topics such as Formative Assessment, Classroom Management for Active Engagement, Technology Integration,  Differentiated Instruction, and School Improvement. 

 

Presently, she serves as an Independent Education Consultant, delivering professional learning and coaching in mathematics, technology integration, and school improvement. Angela has partnered with Mastery Connect (an Instructure Company), Explore Learning (Gizmos), and CORE (Mathematics) to deliver professional development. Angela has a proven track record of student achievement and building teacher capacity and is passionate about improving teaching and learning, with a data-driven and student-centered approach. 

 

Angela is the wife of a wonderful husband, Gregory, and mother to two awesome children, Greg, and          G. Ashley. She enjoys tennis, boating, great music, and participating in 5K events during her free time.
